AirGO ma-po tofu

    • Medium

This is not a typical ma-po tofu recipe. It is not too spicy and it could be kids friendly before you put more chilies in the dish to your taste. I used to take couple spoon of tofu in a bowl for my kid before adding more chilies.

The original recipe used chili bean paste as a basic spicy ingredients.

To make it as a vegetarian dish, you can substitute the ground meat with diced shiitake mushrooms.

    Prepare Ingredient

    - 3-4 boxes of silk soft tofu and cut it into cubes
    - Minced garlic about 2 cloves
    - Mix ground pork with salt, cooking wine, dark soy sauce and sugar
    - cornstarch mix: 2 tablespoons cornstarch plus 1/3 cup water, mixed well

    Cooking with AirGO

-Set AirGO to grill function to 420F for about 12 minutes.
-After preheat, add oil into the pan and spread the marinated ground pork in the pan evenly.
-Close the lid until the ground pork is slightly cooked.
-Add minced garlic, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt. Gently stir them together and mix well.
    -Add tofu into pan.
-Close the lid and cook until shows FLIP.
-Flip it over a little bit, continue cooking until times up.
-Add in the water corn starch at the end of the cooking time and mix it up with the rest of the heat.
-Sprinkle with chilli and green onion in the middle of the pan,
-Heat about 2 tbs of oil on the stove, once it heats up then pour it on the top of chili flakes and green onion.
    -Serving with the pan!
