Directions
This is very famous Taiwaness street food which using a lot oil to deep fry the chicken. crispy out side and juicy inside, very addictive. I was craving for Taiwanese popcorn chicken, but I also want it be healthy, and using less oil.
I decided to make them in the air fry, the best part of using AirGo air fry which you do not need basket, with the conductive heat its go through the chicken inside and out very well. I tried couple times with different temperatures and time, finally had good results. and I am glad to share with you all here.
with Basil I picked some from my little garden which not growing well yet, but with the receipt you can use about hand full basil which able to lay on the chicken evenly, it will turn to crispy and goes very well with chicken.

MarinateClean and dry chicken thigh, cut into cube size. Prepare a ziploc bag add all purpose flour, corn starch, black pepper and salt, mix well. take it out and lay on plates evenly. |

PreheatPreheat Air fry function for 400f 20min After preheat and coat the pan with 1 tbs oil and lay chicken into the pan, then pray some oil on the top of the chicken, cover the lid until LED showed flip then cook until the times out. coat basil with some oil lay top of the chicken cook for 4 mins , it will release the aroma. this step is optional. add pepper salt powder or five spice powder before serving |
